Interactive Table of Murrinhpatha Verb Inflections

This visualization is a set of interactive tables of verb morphology in the Murrinhpatha language (with thanks to John Mansfield both for the data and for the following explanation, which I've paraphrased). In Murrinhpatha verbs are inflected based on their verb class (of which there are 38) and the features TENSE, PERSON and NUMBER. Each inflection is a prefix made up of three segments (the segment may be absent, written as 0 in the data). So for "I will sing" the verb is "ngirel", based on the verb root _rel_, (a CLASS 1 verb), and the future tense, 1st person, singular form for CLASS 1, ngi-0-0. Different segments reccur across different classes and features.

The visualization contains some simple user-driven colour highlighting. Click on any cell in any table. Matching segments throughout the tables are highlighted. Click on a new cell and the highlighting will update to reflect the new selection.

The interactive tables are a form of exploratory visualization, relying on the user to steer their own path of discovery through the representation. Are some classes more similar than others? Which segments are associated with CLASS, TENSE, PERSON, or NUMBER?
